Tahara kite making experience

You can experience the traditional Tahara kite making.

In the city, there is a Tahara kite that has been passed down from the Edo period. The “first kite” that is fried to celebrate the birth of a child and the “quarrel kite” that cuts threads. At the Tahara Festival Hall, you can experience making small kites (29.7 cm x 42 cm) under the guidance of members of the Tahara Kite Preservation Society.
